Heavy Duty Antenna Wire Dark Green (50 metre, 164 ft or 100 metre, 328 ft )
The Heavy Duty version of our popular Green wire. This heavy duty wire has a stranded tinned copper conductor and a UV-stable PVC jacket. It is ideal for making permanent antennas. The 50 metre reel size is perfect for making most HF antennas (such as an 80m dipole). We also sell 100m reels.
The green cable jacket colour is unobtrusive in many applications - perfect for antennas, radials and counterpoises. With a resistance of less than 1 Ohm/50 metres, it's great for high power use too!

Good antenna wire!
Pleased with this stuff: Good flexibility, solders easily, not too heavy. Currently fiddling with alternative wire antennas (particularly verticals) and this wire seems ideal - and not badly priced, either. Can't comment on whether it's likely to stretch over time, but I don't anticipate any problems given the way I'm using it. As always, good packaging and prompt delivery from SOTABeams. Tony, G4TRY

Good Quality Green Wire
Purchased to build 20-15-10m fan-dipole for loft in inverted V configuration. Strength seems good. Although my application is indoors it looks a good colour for stealthy outdoor applications.

Home brew Fan Dipole
As a recent M6 I am trying to get to grips with antennas for portable use. I already have the Sotabeam Band Hopper 40-20, and an excellent antenna it is too, however I wanted to try making my own. My build would be a 40-20-10 resonant tri-strand dipole and I bought this antenna wire for the job. It was an excellent purchase and really did do the job very well. Strong, lightweight and pretty much tangle free and the antenna is used in an Inverted "V" configuration with great success. The top strand is very strong and easily take the weight of the antenna and I have every confidence when putting a little strain on it. I look forward to lots of use come next spring and summer.

Excellent product and delivered on time
My first (but not my last order) from Sotabeams. Ordered this cable and I'm very impressed with the quality of the antenna wire, thick PVC and stealth colouring. Will be using it for my SWL. Thanks again!

Good Antenna Wire
Highly recommended. Just the job for making wire antennas of all sorts including the doublet type which I use for the hf bands strung between tree sky-hooks. To allow for tree movement in the wind one end of the antenna wire is fixed to a halyard going over a pulley with a counterweight.

Not the lightest but good quality, stealthy antenna wire!
Ideal for semi or permanent wire antennas, very flexible, lots of strands under that tough out pvc jacket. Colour is ideal for running down the back garden without standing out! Cheers everyone - g0vht

Green cable
I purchased the new green cable line of Richard to make various wire antennas for semi/permanent instalation. The quality of the copper seems good as does the outter sleeve. I only gave this product 4* simply because it has not stood the test of time regarding cable stretch and whether the sleeving will withstand UV over a long period.
