These heavy-duty insulators are light, strong and weather-resistant. Ribbed for superior insulation properties. They are a real alternative to the old ceramic types but using modern materials! They are most suitable for permanent antennas, guying systems or electric fences!
They are made from a specially selected mix of ABS and PC to give great strength coupled with good UV resistance and a wide temperature range (-50C to +90C).
Light-weight for their size, at just 28 g (1 oz.)
Insulator length 72mm (2.83 inches) measured from indent to edge, or 80 mm (3.14 inches) measured between outer edges. Diameter 40mm. Strain rating 100kg (220lbs).

Just the job. Bit bigger than I expected (I'm old enough to remember china ones!). Meaty enough to handle very large wires and ropes. Will buy again.

Why insulate eggs?? Seriously, every shack should have some lying i a box, ready for when the next idea about aerial construction hits one. These are of an old and well tried pattern, just make sure you lead the rope or wire through the long way around i.e. from the hole on the left AROUND the insulation to the right.
